Zion

Zion was a very bad early Lightning-powered social-networking app that copied its source code from Sphinx.Chat and added some branding on top.

Later, in 2022, they decided to switch to a new architecture and started writing it as a Nostr client with Lightning payments based on LNBits.

But then the entire team was suddenly dismissed and a new team was assembled to rewrite the app again as a client to the Web5 technologies. Many news articles were published about it and podcast interviews were recorded with the CEO, Justin Rezvani, but ultimately nothing came out of it.
