Time Preference

All versions

Bogus concept that makes no sense in the context of Austrian Economics.

One cannot compare their preferences for a good now and the same good in the future, only between a good now and a promise of a similar good in the future. These are two different goods and thus their comparison doesn’t provide any insight into the agent’s "patience" nor into how interest rates form in economies.
