BLW (Bitcoin and Lightning Wallet) was a standalone Lightning implementation for Android written in Scala, the first Lightning mobile wallet and for a long time the only non-custodial wallet that allowed the user to receive payments (the other wallet that existed at the time, Eclair Mobile, only allowed sending payments).

Developed solely by Anton Kumaigorodski, it had some cryptographic classes copied from the Eclair codebase, but aside from that it wasn’t "based on Eclair", as it was common for podcasters and commentators to say at the time.

It was abandoned in favor of the Lightning-powered rewrite of Simple Bitcoin Wallet.
