Work in Progress. Some info might be incorrect or improperly cited
An honorary doctorate, also known as Doctor Honoris Causa, is a prestigious academic award that universities and colleges bestow upon individuals without requiring them to complete the usual educational requirements for a traditional degree. Having an honorary degree doesn’t grant specific professional privileges, but it does provide prestige and additional recognition.
Honorary degrees recognize an individual’s significant contributions to society, specific fields, or the world at large. Honorary degrees are typically conferred upon accomplished professionals, including presidents, world leaders, celebrities, scientists, and lawyers.
